About Colloquia and Seminars

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics hosts faculty colloquia where invited speakers share and discuss their latest research topics. The Math Club also hosts events and colloquia that welcomes all students, faculty, staff, and CSU community members to participate. In addition, the Department organizes Topology, Algebra, and Geometry (TAG) seminars throughout the academic year.

Math Faculty Colloquium

The Department hosts a series of colloquium where invited speakers discuss their latest research topics. Our colloquiums are held in RT 1516, and a schedule of events is listed below. All students are welcome to attend.

Math Club Talk

In Spring 2026, the Math Club meets every Thursday from 11:30 AM-12:15 PM in BH 330. All students, faculty, staff, and CSU community members are welcome. A schedule of events can be found on the Math Club web page along information about the Problems of the Week contest, the mailing list, conferences, etc.

Topology, Algebra, and Geometry (TAG) Seminars

The Department welcomes all students to attend our Topology, Algebra, and Geometry seminars. A schedule of upcoming events and past seminars is available below, along with the abstracts from the lectures.
