Marie Blatnik (BS Physics Honors’15) featured in the National SPS Alumni Engagement program
Physics Department Alumna, Marie Blatnik (BS Physics Honors'15, BS EE Honors'15) got featured on the National Society of Physics Students (SPS) website as a part of the SPS Alumni Engagement program (https://www.spsnational.org/programs/alumni-engagement/marie-blatnik).
Marie was one of our best physics students (Honors student, Choose Ohio First (COF) Scholar), popular undergraduate Teaching Assistant (TA), and extremely productive undergraduate researcher who worked at Brookhaven National Lab, Fermilab, and Stanford Linear Accelerator while finishing her degrees at CSU. She presented her research at multiple professional meetings of the American Physical Society (where she often was supported by SPS). While at CSU Marie was also SPS leader who actively participated in the Physics Fridays outreach program run by CSU's SPS at the Campus International School, K-8 public Cleveland school.
Marie is currently a PhD candidate in Physics at California Institute of Technology (Pasadena CA), where she primary works on instrumentation and simulations for the neutron Electric Dipole Moment experiment (nEDM) to take place at the Spallation Neutron Source at Oak Ridge National Lab.
