Audition Instructions for the School of Music

Fall 2023 and Spring 2024

Music Application: Prospective undergraduate and transfer Music Candidate Auditions are currently scheduled to take place on campus in person. All applicants must audition and/or interview by the last posted on-campus audition day, to ensure entrance and scholarship consideration. 

*Only exception is if you live at least 200 or more miles from Cleveland.

Travel to Cleveland would present a hardship as I am at least 200 miles away. I will submit a video containing the appropriate audition repertoire per the instructions on the CSU School of Music website. *FALL 2023 AND SPRING 2024 IS IN-PERSON. To guarantee a place on the schedule, applications must be received at least 2 weeks before your desired audition date.

Percussion: All students with percussion as their principal instrument must schedule an in-person audition. ALL AUDITIONS ARE BY APPOINTMENT.
