At the Faculty Excellence Award Celebration on April 9, 2025, Associate Professor in Physics, Dr.  Thijs Heus was recognized as CSU’s Distinguished Faculty in Research. Thijs is leading research activities funded by two new extramural grant awards, which together total over $1 million in funding, focused on improving climate and weather modeling. 

CSU’s High Performance Computing Resource, the Viking Cluster, is powering the modeling and data analysis performed by Dr. Heus’s lab. Congratulations, Thijs!
