The graduating class of 2025 included two students who finished our BS Physics program: Grace Miller (left) and Jacob Forester (below right). Grace who graduated with two Honors degrees (BS Physics Honor and BS Math Honors) joined Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) for a PhD program in Physics. She is currently taking Quantum Mechanics I, Classical Mechanics, and Electrodynamics, and also works as a Teaching Assistant (TA) for the department. 

Jacob who finished his BS in Physics degree with minors in Computer Science and Math is back to CSU to finish the graduate year of the CSU’s 4+1 MS/BS Physics program. He is one of the lead TAs at the department while also helping the new generation of undergraduates to take over the work of the CSU’s chapter of the Society of Physics Students (SPS).

The class also includes two students that finished the 4+1 MS/BS Physics program and left CSU for good: Sophia Greene (left) and Sebastian Squires (right). 

Sophia is now a PhD Physics student down at CWRU. She is taking the same classes as Grace and working as TA. She is also volunteering in a biophysics research lab at CWRU. Sebastian moved to Kent, where he is now a Ph.D. Physics student at Kent State University. This semester he is taking Classical Mechanics, Quantum Mechanics, Classical Electrostatics and Physics Seminar and is working as a Teaching Assistant. In fact, due to his prior extensive TA experience at CSU, Sebastian was chosen to be the lead TA. Grace and Sebastian keep in close touch with the CSU’s Physics Department and recently visited CSU for an SPS talk given by CSU’s Physics MS student James Taton on the summer research experience at the EMI lab at NASA Glenn Research center.
