Information about Ann M. Frangos

Ann M. Frangos retired from AT&T as Assistant Vice President, where she was responsible for accounts receivable management for commercial accounts worldwide. She oversaw operations in seven call centers across the United States and in three international centers in the United Kingdom, Hong Kong and India.

During her 36 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, she held a variety of positions in credit and collections, finance, accounting operations, budgeting, long-range planning, and operations research. She also served as Director-Human Resources, where she was responsible for directing the EEO and Affirmative Action programs. Prior to joining AT&T (then Ohio Bell), she taught high school mathematics.

A native Clevelander, Mrs. Frangos' interest in higher education was sparked when she attended a summer math camp at CSU as a teen. She earned a bachelor's degree from Baldwin Wallace University and a 1977 master's degree from Cleveland State, both in mathematics. Ann and her husband, Lou have financially supported Radiance, Cleveland State's scholarship fundraising event and CSU's Math Corps, a program that serves today's middle school and high school students with a summer math camp experience.

Mrs. Frangos served as the 2016 College of Sciences and Health Professions Distinguished Alumni Award honoree. A Westlake resident, Ann is current Chair of the Board of Directors of the YWCA Greater Cleveland.

As Clevelanders, Ann and her husband Lou appreciate that CSU is such a vital part of the city, including its importance to the region's workforce. Having benefitted from scholarships herself, it is Ann's hope this scholarship will provide opportunities for students to complete their undergraduate educations and hopefully stay in Cleveland as a member of our community.
