DECLARING THEATRE and DANCE MAJORS AND MINORS:
You do not have to audition to declare a Theatre or Dance major or minor! You just have to register through the University Registrar. 

AUDITIONS: Auditions are held for individual shows, and for Department Scholarships. 

SHOW CASTING ELIGIBILITY:
*All current/registered CSU students will be considered for casting, regardless of major (priority will be given to Theatre majors & minors)
*All students must have at least a 2.0 GPA to be eligible for casting.
*Theatre Majors and Minors must be current on service hours to be considered for casting.
*Theatre Majors on the Acting Track must audition for all Mainstage productions.

DANCE AUDITIONS: Held every Spring semester for the following academic year and determine:

• Course placement, where applicable
• Ensemble Participation (CSU Dance Company)

Audition Information:

This production of Starmites will be an exciting and fun portal to the 80's and 90's wrapped in intergalactic chivalry and rock and roll misadventures! Unleash your inner diva and bring 1 contemporary song (32 bars), and 1 monologue, classic or contemporary, that channels your favorite superhero, star crossed lover or space science officer! Logic suggests that you stay under 3 minutes! 

Audition Dates:

General Auditions - Thursday 12/4 and Friday 12/5, 6:30pm - 9:30pm

Callbacks - Saturday 12/6, 10am - 2pm

Location: 

CSU Theatre and Arts Building - Black Box (5th floor, TA 521)

Audition Material: 

• 1 Contemporary song (32 bars) - Make sure to bring a copy of the piano/vocal sheet music in your key.
• 1 Monologue - classic or contemporary
• Audition Time - your audition should be no more than three minutes maximum 

Other Information:

• Note that due to scheduling challenges, we will have tech rehearsal on Easter Sunday.

  Performance Dates: Thursday 4/9 - Sunday 4/12 and Thursday 4/16 - Sunday 4/19

  Rehearsals begin Monday 2/9 (including rehearsals during Spring Recess 3/9 -3/13).
