Large Format Poster Printing Guidelines and Requirements

The College of Arts and Sciences has and maintains a large format, poster printer.

The A&S Deans Office will provide only one (1) poster print at no cost to the faculty, staff, and/or students within the College of Arts and Sciences that are to be used for presentations.

The printer is located in the A&S Deans Office, Science Research room 353 (SR-353). Below are general instructions as well specific guidelines for the printer.

or 2-3 days during weekends and/or peak periods.}

General instructions:

• Posters are printed first come, first serve.
• You must complete this form to submit your poster for printing.
• Know the output size dimensions of your poster before you submit it.
• In PowerPoint, create the slide in the output size you want (in Design tab, size Custom Slide) rather than making it larger later (which will result in pixelated images).
• Our Dean's Office staff will print the poster for you.

Printer Guidelines:

• The printer uses rolls of plain/matte paper that is 42 inches. Make sure one of the dimension sizes of your image matches the paper size of your choice. Otherwise, you will have to custom-cut your printed image.
• Unfortunately, we can no longer offer prints on glossy, semi-gloss paper, or fabric at this time.
• For images and graphics, it is best to use resolutions between 150-300 dpi.
• To conserve ink, please USE A WHITE BACKGROUND. Use color for other areas of the poster.
