Large Format Poster Printing Guidelines and Requirements

The College of Arts and Sciences has and maintains a large format, poster printer.

The A&S Deans Office will provide only one (1) poster print at no cost to the faculty, staff, and/or students within the College of Arts and Sciences that are to be used for presentations.

The printer is located in the A&S Deans Office, Science Research room 353 (SR-353). Below are general instructions as well specific guidelines for the printer.

General instructions:

• Posters are printed Monday through Thursday.
• You must complete this form to submit your poster for printing.
• Bring your poster on a flash drive as a PowerPoint and PDF.
• Know the size of your poster before you submit it.
• In PowerPoint, create the slide in the size you want (in Design tab, size Custom Slide) rather than making it larger later.
• Office staff will print the poster for you.

Printer Guidelines:

• The printer uses rolls of paper that are 44 inches wide. One dimension of your poster must be 44 inches or less for plain or matte finish; or less than 42 inches for glossy paper.
• To conserve ink, USE A WHITE BACKGROUND. Use color for other areas of the poster.
• Only authorized staff will change paper or ink.

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT COLOR AND CSU LOGO

CSU official colors print differently on the poster printer. The green will print blue along with the logo. When in doubt use the color alternatives below or just the basic Microsoft palette:
