The Department of History at Cleveland State University offers a wide range of courses and programs. Courses are offered in African, East Asian, European, Latin American, Middle Eastern, and United States history.
The Department offers:

• a Bachelor of Arts degree in History
• a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Studies
• a Master of Arts degree in History - Museum Studies Specialization
• a minor in History

In addition, the Department participates in:

• Interdisciplinary majors in Classical and Medieval Studies (CLAM), Africana Studies, Liberal Studies, Women's and Gender Studies, and International Relations
• interdisciplinary minors in American Studies, Asian Studies, Middle Eastern Studies, Africana Studies and Women's and Gender Studies
• certificate programs focusing on American Studies and the History of the African Diaspora.
