OpSTEM Winter Institute

The goal of the OpSTEM Winter Institute of Mathematics is to assist students in reviewing essential topics in preparation for their spring math course. The institute provides focused instruction, guided practice, and time to rebuild confidence before the semester begins.

When is the OpSTEM Winter Institute?

The OpSTEM Winter Institute takes place the week before the spring semester starts. We will meet Monday - Thursday from 9:30AM - 2:30PM. Lunch will be provided each day!    

 

 

What are the benefits of participating?

Students who participate will strengthen their mathematical skills, review topics necessary to succeed in their spring math course, meet and develop relationships with other students enrolled in the same course, meet new individuals, work with STEM Peer Teachers (SPTs), and much more!

Who is eligible to participate?

Any student who is enrolled in one of the following MTH or ESC courses in their spring semester:

ESC 250 — Differential Equations for Engineers

MTH 148 — Math for Business Majors I

MTH 149 — Math for Business Majors II

MTH 165 — Intensive Precalculus I

MTH 167 — Precalculus I

MTH 168 - Precalculus II

MTH 181 — Calculus I

MTH 182 — Calculus II

MTH 281 — Multivariable Calculus

MTH 283 — Multivariable Calculus for Engineers

MTH 286 — Differentials Equations
