Psychology Student Recognition for Summer 2022

During this summer, several undergraduate and graduate students in the Department of Psychology were recognized for various research and scholarship accomplishments, and we want to take the time to give them some special kudos for all of their great work!

First, we want to give a special shout out to Grace Blatt. Grace recently graduated with her BA in Psychology with a Minor in Neuroscience this past May and is continuing her studies with us in the Psychological Science MA Program this fall. Grace was honored this week as 1 of 8 recipients nationwide of a $3,000 Psi Chi Scholarship for the 2022-2023 academic year. Grace was also featured in a news segment earlier this summer on how best to break down stigma surrounding neurodiversity. Her feature (which was aired on WKYC) can be found here

Next, we would like to acknowldge India Matthews (a current undergraduate Psychology major) who was selected to participate in a recruitment and graduate school preparation seminar--TigerView--hosted by the University of Missouri. This program is designed to help prepare high-achieving students interested in research and scholarship iniatives surrounding issues of equity and inclusion to successfully advance into strong graduate programs.

Finally, a hearty congratulations is in order for recpients of Undergraduate Reseach Awards from the Office of Research at CSU:

  • India Matthews
  • Gwendolyn Wheatley
  • Ty Rushton
  • Claire Ryder

Congrats to these and are many other outstanding students for their incredible work!
