CSU Receives Ohio Sea Grant Funding for Lake Erie Research

Dr. Fasong Yuan, a professor in the Department of Biological, Geological and Environmental Sciences (BGES), has received new funding to perform fieldwork studying causes of hypoxia (lack of oxygen) in Lake Erie’s central basin. Dr. Yuan will work with co-investigator Dr. Zihan Lin, an assistant professor in the BGES department, as well as graduate and undergraduate student researchers.

The two-year project, titled “Investigating Vertical Hypoxia Dynamics in Lake Erie’s Central Basin Using a Top-Down and Bottom-Up Approach,” is funded by Ohio Sea Grant.
