A classroom instructor in the School of Music at Cleveland State University since 1999, Dr. Stephen Stanziano teaches the Harmony and Form sequence, and the Roots of Rock and Soul. A member of ASCAP and the Cleveland Composer's Guild, he is an active composer, lecturer, and musician. His music has been performed throughout the United States and in Europe including the Vatican in Rome, Italy. A bassist, Dr. Stanziano has performed with the CSU Faculty Jazz Ensemble and the Suburban Symphony Orchestra. He has taught at the University of Akron, Hiram College, and Lakeland Community College. He holds degrees from Kent State University (Ph.D., theory and composition, and Master of Arts, composition) and Cleveland State University (Bachelor of Music, composition).
