A classroom instructor in the Music Department at Cleveland State University since 1999, Dr. Stephen Stanziano teaches Harmony and Form, Counterpoint, and the Enjoyment of Music. A member of ASCAP and the Cleveland Composer's Guild, he is an active composer, lecturer, and musician. His music has been performed throughout the United States and at the Vatican in Rome, Italy. A bassist, Dr. Stanziano performs with the CSU Faculty Jazz Ensemble and the Suburban Symphony Orchestra. He also teaches at the University of Akron, Hiram College, and Lakeland Community College and maintains a private studio. He holds degrees from Kent State University (Master of Arts and Ph.D.) and Cleveland State University (Bachelor of Music).
