2026 A&S Research Day

Call for Abstracts

The College of Arts and Sciences invites submission of posters from all A&S students and faculty on current research, teaching, and service activities.

The submission form will automatically close on Tuesday, March 31st @ 11:59 pm.
After that date, please email Tony Carter for printing and space availability.

Submission Requirements

• One abstract should be submitted per poster.
• For group presentations, please designate one individual to submit the abstract on behalf of all presenters.
• The submission will require:
  • Poster/research title
  • An abstract of 300 words or fewer
  • Names and email addresses of all presenters (individuals who will be present and presenting at the poster)
  • Poster image in PDF or PPT format

Printing Guidelines:

• Our printer uses rolls of plain/matte paper that is 42 inches. Make sure one of the dimension sizes of your image matches the paper size. Otherwise, you will have to custom-cut your printed image.
   
• In PowerPoint, create the slide in the output size you want (in Design tab, size Custom Slide) rather than making it larger later (which will result in pixelated images).
   
• Our Dean's Office staff will print the poster for you.
   
• For images and graphics, it is best to use a resolution of 300 dpi, and make sure that they are readable and not blurry or pixelated.
   
• To conserve ink, please USE A WHITE BACKGROUND. Use color for other areas of the poster.

After the submission deadline, each poster will be assigned a number, which will determine the assigned presentation session and poster display location. All posters must be displayed and available for viewing during both sessions. The two-session format allows presenters time to view other posters without needing to remain at their poster for the entire event.

The deadline for submitting your abstracts and poster images is
Tuesday, March 31st @ 11:59 pm.
After that date, please email Tony Carter for printing and space availability.

You will receive an email once your poster has finished printing and is ready for retrieval.

**If you already have your poster printed, please upload a
blank document with the Filename: "POSTER ALREADY PRINTED"**

Please note: after the March 31st deadline, all printing requests will have to be completed through CSU's Duplicating department (or another vendor of your choice), per their pricing and availability.

• 11:30 am - 1:00 pm | Lunch and Awards

• 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm | Afternoon Session 1 (odd-numbered posters)

• 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm | Afternoon Session 2 (even-numbered posters)
