Social Studies
The Social Studies major provides students a comprehensive program for seeking teaching licensure in Social Studies. The content area for the major is administered by the History Department, while the Minor in Secondary Education (CSUTeach) is administered through the College of Public Affairs and Education.
Career Opportunities
While most students in the program become secondary Social Studies teachers, others go on to work in national parks, law enforcement, law, higher education, library science, business, communications and museums. See our Social Studies at CSU blog for stories of alumni and educators in Social Studies.
