The College of Arts and Sciences (A&S) educates future artists, creators, performers, and researchers with broad knowledge and enduring transferable skills. Our academic programs prepare students for the workplaces of today and empower our graduates to create new places for themselves as the workforce grows and changes. 

With 175+ full-time faculty and 3,000 students, the college offers 3 doctoral degrees12 master’s degrees, and 31 bachelor's degrees.

In the latest Viking Voices Extra, University Marketing's Matt Lupica talks with Eric Allard, chair and professor of psychology, and Mary Milidonis, associate professor of physical therapy about what it means for CSU to be recognized as an age-friendly institution.

The School of Film & Media Arts presents the 5th Annual Student Film Festival on Wednesday, May 6 at 6 p.m. in Waetjen Auditorium.

The festival is free and open to the public. An awards ceremony and reception will follow after the program.

Students in the Northeast Ohio Master of Fine Arts (NEOMFA) program recently traveled to the 2026 Association of Writers & Writing Program (AWP) Conference and Bookfair in Baltimore.

AWP is an organization that elevates writers’ voices while supporting the academic programs and organizations that nurture them. Its annual conference provides students and professionals with a showcase in the nation’s largest marketplace for press, journals and writing programs.

CSU students recently laced up their shoes and stepped onto the court for more than just competition at the Dr. William Wasson Basketball Challenge.

Hosted in partnership with the Howard A. Mims African American Cultural Center (HAMAACC), the CSU Recreation Center and CSU Health Occupations Students of America, the event brought together student organizations, campus counseling services and local law enforcement with one shared goal: strengthening community while promoting mental health awareness.
