The Jazz Heritage Orchestra is a professional 17-piece performance and educational ensemble, which is an affiliate of the Cleveland State University Department of Africana Studies. The orchestra is composed of outstanding jazz performers who are highly competent music educators.

Through the auspices of the Department of Africana Studies, the Jazz Heritage Orchestra is available for concerts, educational seminars, clinics, master classes, and workshops throughout the United States and around the world.

"In a thoroughly contemporary twist on the classic jazz lore tradition of the territory band, the Jazz Heritage Orchestra reflects the contributions of an impressive range of musicians from several points on the Midwestern map."
