Program Description
Pursue your passion for dance through a creative, holistic approach that will complement a major in another field. Technique credits include both modern and ballet courses. The minor consists of 28 credit hours.

Admissions Process
You've never attended college or all your college credits were earned prior to high school graduation (College Credit Plus or dual-enrollment).
Step 1:
Complete the application for undergraduate admission. Freshmen applicants can apply here through the CSU Application or the Common Application.
Step 2:
Submit the $40 application fee.
Step 3:
Submit official transcripts. Visit the transcripts page for more information on how to send your transcripts.
Step 4:
CSU is test optional for Admission. Students are encouraged to submit official ACT/SAT results for scholarship consideration.
Step 5:
Once your application is submitted and reviewed, you will receive an admission decision. Respond to your offer and complete these next steps to secure your spot.

The Dance Minor degree offers opportunities for students to pursue their interest in dance while completing their major in another area of study. The discipline, creativity, and holistic approach to learning through dance enhances marketability, preparing students both physically and intellectually for their chosen career paths.
Students cannot declare a Dance Minor if they are already in the Dance Track of the Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Dance.
Minimum hours required for minor: 23

- Performer or Dance Ensemble Member – Participate in stage productions, cultural performances, and community arts programs.
- Choreography Assistant – Support the creation and coordination of dance routines for performances and events.
- Dance or Movement Instructor – Teach foundational dance techniques in studios, schools, or recreational programs.
- Arts or Event Program Assistant – Help organize performances, festivals, and community arts initiatives.
- Fitness or Wellness Instructor – Apply movement and performance skills in fitness, wellness, or group exercise settings.
