Pre-Law Students Meet Law Dean Brian Ray; Tour the Law Library

Dr. Lana Mobydeen, J.D., Assistant College Lecturer in the Department of Philosophy & Political Science and CSU College of Law, recently hosted a series of engaging events designed to introduce aspiring legal professionals to the world of law school admissions and academic research.

The day kicked off with a Pre-Law Chat and Networking (Pre-Law CAN) meeting featuring Dean Brian Ray of CSU Law. Dean Ray spoke directly with interested pre-law students, offering valuable insights into the CSU Law curriculum, the admissions process, and what it takes to succeed in the legal field. The interactive session concluded with a series of candid photos capturing the energy and enthusiasm of the attending group.

Following the admissions talk, the student engagement continued as Dr. Mobydeen's Legal Education and Professionalism (LEAP) class visited the CSU Law Library. Law librarian Amy Burchfield led the class on an informative tour of the facility, which was immediately followed by a hands-on legal research session. Working together as a class, students practiced navigating legal databases and resources.
