History Professor Dr. Mark Souther to Present Digital History Projects to Ukrainian Audience

Dr. Mark Souther, Professor of History and Director of the Center for Public History + Digital Humanities at Cleveland State University, will deliver a virtual presentation to the Center for Urban History in Lviv, Ukraine.

The online event is scheduled for Thursday, October 1 at 10:00 AM. It is part of the second year of the Center's Urban History Digital Infrastructures speaker series.

Dr. Souther’s lecture, titled "Cleveland Historical" and "Green Book Cleveland": Place-Based Digital Public History, will explore the infrastructure and community impact of the center's signature digital initiatives. The presentation will highlight how regional history can be preserved and shared globally through mobile apps, custom web plugins, and oral history mapping.

The presentation bridges international digital humanities scholarship, offering a collaborative look at how public history centers can leverage technology to foster civic memory and resilient communities across geographic boundaries.
