"Images" CSU Africana Studies on the Radio

"Images" was a half-hour public affairs radio and video broadcast of discussions and conversations with local, national and international guests.

Hosted by Prester Pickett, "Images" also promoted the scholarly programs and activities of the Department of Africana Studies and Howard A. Mims African American Cultural Center, as well as other CSU departments and academic units. Initiated by William "Bill" Johnson, former head of Public Relations and Dr. Ralph Pruitt, director of Black Studies over 30 years ago, "Images" was one of the longest-running radio talk shows in Cleveland.

"Images" was produced by the Cleveland State University Department of Africana Studies and was pre-recorded in the studio of the Cleveland State University Department of Instructional Media Services (IMS) by members of the IMS staff.

While "Images" is no longer active, past recordings have been archived in the Special Collections section of the the Michael Schwartz Library. To inquire about past "Images" broadcasts, please contact the Library.
