Join us this June for a four-day intensive designed specifically for Northeast Ohio’s rising 10th, 11th and 12th-grade wind and percussion players.

At CSU, we believe every student’s path is unique. This workshop isn't about fitting into a mold—it's about empowering you with the tools, confidence, and community you need to reach your specific musical goals.

What to Expect:

Over four immersive days, you will dive deep into the pillars of musical excellence:

• Performance Fundamentals: Master the "how" of your instrument with expert guidance.
• Chamber Music: Experience the joy of small-ensemble collaboration and communication.
• The Art of Practice: Learn how to make your time in the practice room more efficient, creative, and rewarding.
• Audition Readiness: Whether you’re prepping for All-State, solo contests, or college, learn the secrets to prepare to perform your best under pressure.

Learn from World-Class Mentors:

You’ll work directly with members of the CSU faculty—distinguished artists who bring a wealth of professional experience from the world’s greatest stages to the classroom:

• John Faieta (Trombone): A veteran of the Boston Symphony and The Cleveland Orchestra, bringing decades of elite orchestral and jazz experience.
• Katalin La Favre (Percussion): A Fulbright Scholar and interdisciplinary artist who blends classical mastery with contemporary innovation.
• Nathan Salazar (Saxophone): An award-winning soloist and chamber musician with a passion for helping students bridge the gap to collegiate playing.
• Birch Browning (Conductor, Music Educator): Director of Bands at Cleveland State University, and Music Director of The Cleveland Winds.
