Overview of Portfolio 

Students are required to take GEN 200 Life Design for General Studies and GEN 400 Workforce Integration Capstone Experience

GEN 200 Life Design for General Studies:

  • This course is an orientation to the interdisciplinary General Studies program, its requirements, and philosophy.
  • In this course, students will design a meaningful academic and career path by exploring their past experiences, interests, and aspirations.
  • Students will develop a portfolio to document prior learning for potential college credit, while using life design principles to chart a path to degree completion and careers.
     

GEN 400 Workforce Integration Capstone Experience:

  • This course guides the integration of academic learning with career outcomes.
  • Students will engage in a workforce integration experience, allowing them to apply and reflect on their interdisciplinary education.
  • The course culminates in a professional portfolio showcasing their experience, growth, and future career plans.
