Degree Description

Develop a comprehensive understanding of environmental concepts and challenges. Engage in core courses in topics such as environmental physics, general chemistry and introductory biology, and customize your education with tracks in environmental technology, physical science, biology, planning or education. Apply skills through hands-on learning in laboratory experiences and independent study. 


Admissions Process

You've never attended college or all your college credits were earned prior to high school graduation (College Credit Plus or dual-enrollment).

Step 1:

Complete the application for undergraduate admission. Freshmen applicants can apply here through the CSU Application or the Common Application.

Step 2:

Submit the $40 application fee.

Step 3:

Submit official transcripts. Visit the transcripts page for more information on how to send your transcripts.

Step 4:

CSU is test optional for Admission. Students are encouraged to submit official ACT/SAT results for scholarship consideration.

Step 5:

Once your application is submitted and reviewed, you will receive an admission decision. Respond to your offer and complete these next steps to secure your spot.

  • Environmental Consultant – Assess environmental impacts and help organizations comply with environmental regulations and sustainability standards.
  • Environmental Health and Safety Specialist – Develop and implement programs that promote workplace safety and environmental compliance.
  • Ecosystem Restoration Specialist – Plan and support projects that restore natural habitats, wetlands, forests, and other ecosystems.
  • Watershed or Water Quality Specialist – Monitor and protect water resources through sampling, analysis, and conservation efforts.
  • Wildlife or Conservation Specialist – Manage natural resources and develop strategies to protect wildlife and biodiversity.
  • Air Quality or Environmental Compliance Specialist – Evaluate air quality, monitor pollution, and ensure compliance with environmental laws.
